Who is Marc Summers?
Marc Summers is an American television personality, comedian, game show host, producer, and talk show host. He is best known for hosting Double Dare for Nickelodeon, Unwrapped for Food Network, and as the executive producer for both Dinner: Impossible and Restaurant: Impossible also for Food Network.
He was born on June 29, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. He is married to his wife, Lisa. He has two children with her. He is a member of the Church of Christ.
Marc Summers Reveals His Face After Car Accident
Marc Summers was involved in a car accident on March 1, 2011 at the age of 61 years old. A four-door BMW hit him from behind while he was driving and left him unconscious from the accident. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he stayed for a few days before being released from the hospital and going home to recover from his injuries.
On March 9th Marc Summers appeared on “The Today Show” and showed off his face for the first time since he suffered severe injuries in the automobile accident that almost took his life. He was interviewed by Matt Lauer and he revealed his face but he was not able to do much more than that because of the injury to his right eye.
A few days after the accident Marc Summers was interviewed by the media and he did not have much to say about his accident. Most of the questions that were asked were about his future. He did reveal that he was planning on getting back into television by doing a talk show and a cooking show among other things. He also stated that he would love to do another Double Dare game show but that it is doubtful that will happen because of his injury.
On March 13th, Marc Summers appeared on “Entertainment Tonight” where he spoke in detail about the accident and how he suffered injuries to his head, face, arms, and legs. He explained how he can move around with no problem now but still cannot see out of his right eye. He also explained how he had to have surgery on his right eye and some of his teeth were knocked out. He also spoke of his near death experience and how it changed him in many ways.
Marc Summers appeared on “Entertainment Tonight” again on March 16th where he revealed that he was back in the hospital because he had a severe infection in his right arm. The infection was so severe that they had to amputate the arm. The doctors also removed all of Marc Summers’ teeth except one tooth which was broken in half but still intact enough to be used as a bridge for his missing tooth. He continued speaking about the accident and how it changed him forever, saying “I don’t think I’m the same person that I was before the accident, but I also don’t think I’m the same person that I was before my first Double Dare game show.”
