Moisturiser
This is absolutely necessary. It’s important to keep your skin hydrated, while maintaining its pH level, as well as keeping pores clear while fighting acne and pimples. I personally prefer Mama Earth as it does not have a greasy formula and is absolutely gorgeous on my skin. There are other good options too like Olay, Neutrogena, Biotique etc. Preferably, use one with SPF 30 to protect your skin from sun damage. Apply moisturiser to damp, clean skin so it can do its best job.
Kajal /Eye liner
A sure shot item that differs only in terms of brand presence in each of our bags. Be it Faces, Lakme or Maybelline Eyeliner/Kajal not only accentuates your features and overall look but also gives your face the definition it needs. A must have beauty product we will all swear by!!. Lakme Iconic Kajal with its superb coverage and finish is a fail safe for the brand here.
lipstick / lip balm
We all probably carry more than one of these all the time. However, lipstick differs from lip balm because the former is not necessarily hydrating or nourishing for the latter. In general, along with Forest Essentials, Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is also quite popular. Though Baby Lips is a prominent name in the budget range.
As far as lipsticks are concerned, we are lucky that we were spoiled for choice. From satin finishes to long wear, matte, glossy, creamy, moisturising to transfer resistant, lip plumpers and crayons, the market is flooded. Brands like Maybelline, Revlon, Faces, Lakme, Lotus Herbals, Inglot, Avon, Nivea Rimmel rule the lipstick platform. My personal favourite is Maybelline, though I don’t mind L’Oreal as well as MAC though they are a bit pungent on the pocket at times.
Sunscreen
An absolute necessity because, hey, we don’t want that tan!!! Re’equil is one of my complete iterations in this range. Its gel-like finish makes it comfortable to wear on my skin. Basically sunscreen has an SPF of 20 to 35 which is best suited for Indian skin types. You need to choose the type of sunscreen based on your skin type. Face wash
